WILD AWAKENING RETREAT
PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT, LIABILITY WAIVER & INTAKE FORM
1. INTRODUCTION
This Liability Waiver and Release Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between Renée Guay / Higher Flow (referred to as "Organizer"), and the undersigned participant ("Participant") for the Wild Awakening Intensive (the "Retreat") at Maestro Valley, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala from May, 3-10, 2026.
2. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS
Participant acknowledges that attending the Retreat and participating in retreat activities involves inherent risks. Participant understands that travel, physical activities, wellness ceremonies, and being in natural environments may present certain risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries or other negative outcomes.
3. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND RELEASE
Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the Retreat, whether known or unknown, and accepts full responsibility for any outcomes that may arise from participation.
Participant hereby releases, waives, discharges, and agrees not to sue the Organizer, its owners, agents, employees, instructors, guides, contractors, volunteers, facility operators, land owners, and all other persons or entities acting on the Organizer's behalf (collectively the "Released Parties") from all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by Participant while participating in or traveling to and from the Retreat, regardless of cause or alleged negligence of the Released Parties.
4. HEALTH AND FITNESS
Participant represents that they are in good health and physically/mentally capable of safely participating in the Retreat. Participant agrees to inform the Organizer of any relevant health conditions or concerns and assumes full responsibility for determining their fitness to participate in all activities.
Participant understands that the Organizer is not responsible for providing medical care or health insurance, and consents to emergency medical treatment in case of injury or illness. Participant agrees that all costs of such medical treatment will be their sole responsibility.
5. PSYCHO- EMOTIONAL & CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES CLAUSE
Participant acknowledges that somatic, ceremonial, and embodiment practices may bring up intense emotional or psychological material. Participant takes full responsibility for their emotional wellbeing and agrees to communicate any concerns to the Organizer during the retreat.
Participant acknowledges that certain ceremonial elements of the retreat may involve the use of cacao or other mild ceremonial substances. Participant agrees to disclose in advance any medications, health conditions, or contraindications that may be relevant. The Organizer is not responsible for any adverse reactions arising from failure to disclose such information. Participation in any ceremonial or substance-related activity is entirely voluntary and at the Participant's own discretion and risk.
6. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Participant acknowledges that obtaining travel insurance is their personal decision. The Organizer is not responsible for any expenses related to medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, or other costs that might be incurred during travel or the Retreat.
7. COMPLIANCE WITH GUIDELINES
Participant agrees to follow all guidelines, rules, and instructions provided by the Organizer during the Retreat. Participant acknowledges that failure to comply may result in dismissal from the Retreat without refund.
8. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT & COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Wild Awakening Retreat upholds a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, misconduct, or disruptive behavior toward other participants, facilitators, venue staff, or any member of the community. Participant agrees to engage respectfully and consciously with all members of the retreat container at all times.
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any Participant from the Retreat without refund in the event of behavior that is deemed harmful, disruptive, or threatening to the safety and integrity of the group container. This decision rests solely with the Organizer.
9. MEDIA RELEASE
Participant grants permission to the Organizer to take and use photographs, videos, and recordings of them during the Retreat for promotional, educational, and commercial purposes without compensation. Participant acknowledges that a contracted professional photographer will be present on behalf of the Organizer throughout the retreat to document the experience.
Participant may opt out of being photographed or filmed by notifying the Organizer in writing prior to the retreat start date. Absent such written notice, participation in the Retreat constitutes consent to being captured in group and event photography.
10. CANCELLATION POLICY
Participant acknowledges the Organizer's cancellation policy, which states that deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to another participant if the Participant is unable to attend. Any such transfer must be approved in advance by the Organizer. The replacement participant must complete and sign this Waiver and all other required documentation prior to attending. Full payment is due 30 days before the Retreat begins.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
The Organizer shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, earthquakes, volcanic activity, flooding, fire, pandemic, epidemic, public health emergency, government-imposed travel restrictions or lockdowns, war, political instability, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, border closures, airline cancellations or significant flight disruptions, fuel or energy crises, or any other extraordinary circumstance that makes it impossible or unsafe for the Retreat to proceed as planned.
Participant acknowledges that international travel carries inherent uncertainty and that the Organizer cannot be held responsible for changes in flight availability, flight prices, visa restrictions, or travel advisories issued by any government body. Participant is strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, and emergency evacuation.
In the event the Organizer is required to cancel or postpone the Retreat due to any of the above circumstances, the Organizer may at their sole discretion offer a credit toward a future retreat. Refunds are not guaranteed under force majeure conditions. The Organizer will make every reasonable effort to communicate with Participants as early as possible and to find a fair resolution.
12. GENERAL PROVISIONS
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties regarding the subject matter herein.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Guatemala, where the retreat takes place. Any disputes arising from or related to this Agreement or the Retreat shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the event occurs. Participant acknowledges that by choosing to travel internationally to attend this Retreat, they accept that Guatemalan jurisdiction governs this Agreement regardless of their country of residence or citizenship.
13. POST-RETREAT INTEGRATION
Participant acknowledges that transformational retreat experiences may continue to unfold emotionally, psychologically, and energetically after the retreat concludes. The Organizer will provide one group integration call following the retreat as part of the retreat experience. Beyond this, the Organizer is not responsible for providing ongoing one-on-one support, coaching, or therapeutic care.
Participant is warmly encouraged to continue their integration journey through the Organizer's online women's container, MAGNETIC, which offers ongoing support, community, and embodiment practices. Participation in MAGNETIC is optional and available at a separate investment. Participant is also encouraged to seek appropriate professional support if needed following the retreat.
14. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
BY SIGNING BELOW, PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
