Twerking activates the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras; releasing stuck emotions and awakening our radiant energy. It's time to break out of our limiting patterns of thinking and feeling and step into our highest self that is wild & free! Goddess Renee will lead you through a guided movement journey while booty bouncin' soundscapes connect us deeper to the Twerk Master within us all.
We are programmed to believe there is something wrong with moving our hips. It’s a human condition to store so much negativity, especially in this part of our body causing pain, illness, and disease. Bringing conscious awareness and activating our hips allows us to let go of the emotional and environmental toxins we build up. It’s obvious that our society needs a healthy way to release our stress & trauma. A healing space is created to let go of fears, expectations, judgements, criticisms, emotional baggage, inner critic, self-blame, guilt, abuse, pain, embarrassment, and shame. We are incredibly creative beings with so much to share in the world when we choose to release ourselves from the boxes we put ourselves in. Free the booty & your mind will follow!
Twerking traces back to West Africa and was known as the Mapouka Dance. It was a celebratory dance of joy and was widely accepted because people believed it led to encounters with GOD! The actual term “twerking” comes from the New Orleans bounce scene in the early 90’s. This ancient dance, focusing on movements in the hips, is a fun and empowering way to express our sexual energy consciously rather than suppressing it or giving it away. When we activate this primal energy, we tap into our confidence & radiance to walk our intended paths in life with courage & grace.
This sacred ceremony is a blend of empowerment coaching, meditation, yoga, breathwork, movement arts, dance medicine, spiritual healing, trauma release, and manifestation magic to release your shit and inspire you to express your unique gifts in the world! This is an invitation to come as you are - bring all of your insecurities, challenges, disappointments and pain so that we can clear what is no longer serving us. We are spiritual beings living in physical bodies so why not embrace all aspects of who we are? Our bodies, including our booties, were meant to MOVE as we activate our innate POWER!
